Pretty much the only drive thru that I sneak into on a rare occasion is In & Out. Their double double cheeseburgers are to die for. Anyone that has experienced one knows why they are all the rage. Every In & Out I drive past has a huge line of cars.
It doesn’t matter what time of day it is. People are willing to wait.
Because they know it’s the best burger in town.
The other day, I literally was craving that burger. I had to have it. I was so excited when I placed my order. Each minute I sat in line felt like an eternity. By the time I got to the drive thru window, I was drooling with anticipation. I knew what to expect. I got my bag and rushed off to the nearest parking spot. The burger was fresh and hot off the grill. I took a big bite and sank my teeth in. I was overwhelmed by the great flavors and the taste was just like I remembered.
Forgive Us God that We the Church tend to treat prayer with You like a drive thru window. We place our order in and expect You to immediately give Us the answer in the bag. And when You don’t, We rush off.
Forgive Us God that We the Church think We can sneak into Our local church on a rare occasion and no one will notice. But You do.
Forgive Us God that We the Church are willing to wait and sit in line to indulge
a $4 burger. Yet each and every morning We typically can’t get that excited to wait at Your feet and indulge Your Word.
Maybe We forgot that being filled with His Holy Spirit is all the rage. And anyone that has experienced that…knows why.
Maybe We forgot that it doesn’t matter what time of day it is, You are willing to wait for Us to come back to You. There is no huge line.
Maybe We forgot that We need to sink Our teeth into the meat of Your Word, every day We read it, its fresh revelation and hot off the grill of Your love.
You might feel like it’s been an eternity, since you literally craved the presence of Our Almighty God. You might feel like You just have to have it.
It’s to die for. (Romans 6:11)
He knows exactly what You need today. Go ahead…take a big bite.
And be overwhelmed by His great forgiveness. You know what to expect.
The taste will be just like You remembered.
Beyond excellent. (Colossians 1:14)
We attended a press conference in Washington D.C. last week. Three Congressman and Craig discussed bill HR 565 (Save the Christians from Genocide). We were able to gather over 50,000 signed petitions. The petitions are now in the hands of the Judicial Committee. They will have to approve this bill to go before Congress and be voted on. Please continue to pray that this bill passes. We are getting very close! This bill will assure Christians in Syria and Iraq get safe haven and are not targeted for torture, rape and killing.
Comfortable Christians here in the USA. Worldwide millions of Christians suffer immensely living under Communist or Socialist regimes. Learn what countries are the worst and pray for the people and their leaders.

Our President. Our Senators. Our Congressmen/women. Our Supreme Court.
As Christians, our role is to pray for these people… and be ministers of reconciliation especially if they do not personally know Jesus.
Pray that God will give You divine appointments to pray specifically for leaders that You personally know in government. They are desperate for Your powerful prayers.
