Advancing Against

The kids walked home every day from school. Conveniently located, school wasn’t too far from our house. They never complained and time flew by because their friends walked alongside them. But this day was different. The air was heavy and muggy. Atypical for the clear and sunny beach city days. What looked like rainclouds covered the sky. Rain wasn’t in the forecast. No one had any warning. The kids didn’t have umbrellas. They were not prepared. Neither was I.

Unannounced, the storm took everyone by surprise. It started to sprinkle.

Then, like a blast, it became an intense, continuous downpour.

The rain came down so fast and hard… I just knew the kids first reaction would be to not give up and run back home. Sure enough, they came bolting through the door. Drenched and dripping from head to toe. They were out of breath and trembling. Stripping off their sopping clothes was the first thing they did. And they couldn’t wait to wrap themselves in an oversized, big fluffy towel to dry off.

Later that dark and dreary night, it was still raining outside.

The kids were so thankful that they were inside.

Forgive Us Father that We the Church allow rainclouds of doubt and fear to cover our normally clear and sunny thoughts. So We end up wearing a muggy and heavy countenance. But doubt and fear are not in the forecast for Our futures.

Forgive Us Father that We the Church allow time to fly by when friends or family that used to walk alongside Us; no longer do. Sometimes they were hit with a storm and are still in it. We typically want to strip Ourselves from them to avoid their sopping mess.

Forgive Us Father that We the Church can have an unannounced storm blast into Our lives. In fact, it can take Us by surprise. It can hit fast and hard. And sometimes Our reaction is to want to run. Far from it. Instead of back home; to You.

Maybe We forgot that This Day is Different. And that We as born again Christians are atypical. We get to bolt through His door of grace, mercy and forgiveness.

Anytime. Anywhere. Anyday. And come inside. With Him. (John15:9)

Maybe We forgot that We are drenched in an intense continuous downpour of His Love. It covers Us from head to toe. We just need to be willing to drip that Love directly into the lives of those who love Us and especially to those who do not love Us back. (Matthew 5:43-44)

Maybe We forgot that the Holy Spirit already gave Us His big fluffy towels of Comfort that wrap Us up all the time. His towels are super oversized. So You can extend them out to others that are out of breath and trembling from running their lives without Him. (John14:26)

And even when it’s still raining on the dark and dreary nights of your life,

You have what it takes. (Psalm 18:32)

You have what they need. (Philippians 4:19)

You get to hold the umbrella of salvation out to the lost. (Matt 28:19)

You will not relent. You will not give up. (Galatians 6:9)

You will walk alongside them. Even if they don’t want You to. (Hebrews 3:13)

You will be empowered. You will be comforted too in the midst of Your storm. (2Corinthians 1:3-5)

You advance against the storms!!! (2 Samuel 22:30)

Why?

Because Jesus did it ALL and More for You. (Romans 5:1,2)

PRAY FOR:

Texas-

Hurricane Harvey recovery efforts. Search and Rescue stage is ending. Gutting and tear down stage has begun. Street after street is lined with piles of ruined things. The homes stand as gutted shells. Pray the Holy Spirit fills these survivors with the spirit of Supernatural Thanksgiving and Comfort.

He will deliver and provide. He always does.

PRAY FOR:

Caribbean Islands, Cuba & Florida-

Hurricane Irma.

Continue to pray for the many millions affected by this storm. Pray that Christian survivors will rise up and give testimony of His saving grace and mercy. Just like they did in Texas. Expect and pray for massive revival.

Israel-

Things are heating up in the Middle East, like never before. Israel is hated and the countries surrounding her are ready to kill and destroy. Please keep Israel in prayer for protection on ALL sides. We are watching Ezekiel 38 unfold right before our eyes. (Ezekiel 38)

PRAY FOR:

Our military. Our Congress. Our Senate. Our President.

They all have HUGE responsibility to handle VERY serious things.

Pray they continue to seek the Face of Our Almighty God in EVERY decision.

We as a Nation don’t just need a National Day of Prayer…

We need a National Day of Repentance!!!

Lock And Load

Congress doesn’t need to declare it.

There doesn’t need to be a preemptive strike.

But it’s a fact.

The USA is engaged in a Spiritual Civil War.

Intense spiritual battles surround Us every day.

In Our homes, Our churches, Our communities, Our state and Our nation.

 

Spirit Filled believers have an arsenal at their fingertips. (Psalm 144:1)

 

Our weapons are not little. They are not ineffective.

Our weapons are better than an AK-47.

Our weapons do more damage than a nuclear missile.

Our weapons are specifically designed to take out and take down.

Our weapons obliterate the demonic. (Jeremiah 1:10)

Our weapons annihilate the hate. (Malachi 4:1)

Our weapons destroy the anger. (Ephesians 5:26-27)

Our weapons scatter the enemies of Our soul. (Luke 17:6)

 

You are already on the battlefield.

You are already armed.

You already have what it takes. (Mark 9:23)

You just need to lock and load His Powerful Word (Hebrews 4:12)

 

Click the safety off.

Be ready to aim.

Be ready to fire.

Be ready to attack.

Every second. Every minute. Every hour. (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

 

The weapon?

Prayer.

Just DO IT!!!

 

PRAY FOR:

Our Nation. President Trump declared a National Day of Prayer for this Sunday.

(September 3, 2017) (In light of Hurricane Harvey)

Ask the Holy Spirit how He wants You to intercede on behalf of Our Nation.

Millions Nationwide will join You.

Together We will get to participate in a Powerful MOVE of the Holy Spirit!!!

We will see A Hurricane of Repentance & Revival rain down on the US!!!

It will be historical!!!

Many will be Saved!!!

Many will give Glory to God!!!

In The Bag

When the kids were very small, one of our favorite trips was to the beach. But I kept it a surprise and I told them we would be going on an adventure. They couldn’t wait to get in the car and had no idea where we were going. They got to pick out their toys, snacks and drinks that they wanted to take on the trip. The most important thing that we stuffed into the big bag wasn’t their toys, snacks or drinks. I made sure that there was room for it. I sometimes had to squeeze it in. It was the sunscreen.

 

Once we arrived at the beach, the kids were so excited! But they hated putting on sunscreen. They would ignore my voice, telling them, “sunscreen time!” They couldn’t wait to have fun and play. The allure was to run towards the tantalizing water, so they just couldn’t stand still. It was so exhausting and frustrating for me.

I remember the crying fits. I did my best to apply lotion onto their squirmy, wiggly little bodies, without them prying themselves out of my grip and getting away.

 

The sunscreen challenge seemed like forever to me, because year after year this same thing happened. I didn’t see any change. It wasn’t until they were a little older, after a few mishaps and painful, blistering sunburns that it finally clicked in. They stopped fighting me. And they decided to stand still. What a relief!

 

Forgive Us Father that We the Church sometimes stuff Our big bags of life with all the toys, snacks and drinks we picked out and leave little room for the most important thing, You.

 

Forgive Us Father that We the Church can be hateful towards Your voice of warnings that are in Your word, so We ignore it. Not wanting to apply that lotion of protection onto Our squirmy, wiggly lifestyle.

 

Forgive Us Father that We the Church can have crying fits and do our best to pry ourselves out of Your grip, because We want to run towards the allure of the tantalizing things of this world. (Galatians 5:16,17)

 

Maybe You forgot that You need make sure that there is room for loving Jesus in Your daily life. Sometimes You just have to squeeze it in. (2 Corinthians 5:14)

 

Maybe You forgot that blistering life challenges may seem like forever, because year after year the same thing happens. It’s so exhausting and frustrating.

And You don’t see any change. But God does. (Psalm 91)

 

Maybe You forgot that growing a little older and learning after a few mishaps that cause pain, things will finally click in. And by His grace, You stand still. And stop fighting Him. (Galatians 5:1)

 

You are His kid. And in His eyes, You are not very small. He wants to take You on an ongoing adventure of Your Lifetime. Every minute. Every hour. Every day. (Galatians 5:25)

 

You just need to get in His car. And let Him take You by His Spirit, on one of His favorite trips. It will be a surprise and You will be so excited!

You will feel like a little kid again!

 

Oh, and He has already packed Your bag. Its full of everything You need.

For now and eternity. What a relief! (2 Peter 1:3)

 

PRAY FOR:

Our President Trump had a bold rally in Phoenix this past week. Prior to his speech, he allowed Dr Alveda King and Rev Franklin Graham to pray. Both prayers were anointed and beyond powerful. (Click here to see Rev Franklin Graham’s prayer.)

 

President Trump willingly and boldly gave the platform to the NAME THAT IS ABOVE ALL NAMES, JESUS!!!

None of the Main Stream Media mentioned those prayers at all!!! Go figure!!!

Evil powers and principalities tremble at the Name of Jesus. YET they will continue to be relentless in their pathetic and pitiful attacks. Anything operating against and resisting the precious Name of Our Savior and Lord Jesus is DEMONIC.

It is that simple.

Pray that any demonic activity mouths will be exposed and then SHUT.

White House prayer, Capitol Hill prayer, National Mall prayer are nonstop right now. PTL!!! Revival is happening!!! Nothing will be able to stop what the Spirit allows.

 

PRAY FOR:

Pastors here in CA to rise up like an army and by the Spirit actively and biblically confront the hate, anger and lies that continue to be fed to their people via any anti- Christ media and our anti-Christ culture. Pray for their boldness and courage.

We are living in the end times. No time to mess around.

 

PRAY FOR:

Christians in CA and in this nation to not be ashamed of the whole gospel. To be filled with the Holy Spirits power! And be willing to stand up for biblical truth and live out biblical values, in truth and in love.

Holy Spirit, You need to purify Your bride!!!

 

PRAY FOR:

Christians that are behind enemy lines and on the front lines for Jesus Christ.

The attacks of the enemy are strategically targeted and relentless.

Especially within their families. Including ours.

Five Stars

Trip Advisor would list it as a destination with zero stars.

Yelp would list its restaurants/food with zero stars.

Airbnb would list its accommodations with zero stars.

 

Yet it’s all over the news. Every channel. Every day.

Lots of Attention is given to it. But it’s not good news.

Even Pastors talk about it.

 

This place mocks us and hates who we are.

This place has attempted to hit us.

This place has attempted to destroy us.

Wicked missiles aimed right as us.

 

It’s on the top of the list as the worst of the worst.

Torture. Thirst. Starvation.

Horrific Prison Camps.

Relentless. With no end in sight.

 

Certainly not a travel destination.

 

North Korea.

 

Hell.

 

Torture. Thirst. Starvation. (Revelation 14:11)

One Big Horrific Eternal Prison Camp.

Relentless. With no end in sight. (Matthew 25:41)

 

It’s NOT all over the news. Every channel. Every day.

No attention is given to it. It’s not good news.

Pastors seldom talk about it.

 

Trip Advisor would list it as a destination with zero stars.

Even though some people think it would be a big party with their friends.

Maybe You feel like You have been through Hell.

Maybe You have been mocked. Maybe You have been hated because of Jesus.

Maybe people have attempted to hit You hard enough to take You down.

Maybe people have attempted to destroy You and Your ministry.

Wicked missiles aimed right at You.

 

Maybe You forgot that…

You are an app on Gods Smartphone.

He opens You up Every day.

He sees Your battle. He sees Your Tortured heart. (Genesis 16:13)

He sees Your Thirst for Him to do something more.

He sees Your Starvation for His perfect Hope.

He sees the Horrific Prison Camp You may have stepped into.

And Yet His Love for You is Relentless. (Psalm 136)

With no end in sight.

 

You get to be His Trip Advisor. He will use You to tell others the full gospel; how to make their Eternal Destination Heaven, and set them free from that Horrific Eternal Prison Camp called Hell.

 

You get to be His Yelp. He will use You by the Power of the Spirit, to tell others how to quench their thirst and hunger for righteousness; through His word.

 

You get to be His Airbnb. He has already given You His Holy Spirit. That is amazingly powerful accommodations. For everything in Your life. Nothing is impossible with Him. (Matthew 19:26)

 

You are on the top of His list as the Best of the Best!!!

He rates You with 5 stars!!!

Every day.

Why?

Nothing but the blood of Jesus!!! (1 John 1:7)

 

PRAY FOR:

North Korean President Kim Jong–un. He does not know Jesus as Savior and Lord. Pray for someone that is filled with the Holy Spirit to testify the good news of Jesus Christ to him, and that he would receive it. Pray for the military there, that their plans for destruction would fail. Pray for Christian brothers and sisters in North Korea. It is the worst nation on the planet for Christian persecution.

Sam Brownback (New US Ambassador for International Religious Freedom) Sam is a Christian. He is already under attack by the progressive left. He is starting the interviewing and hiring process for 25 staff. Pray he chooses wisely and selects born again believers. We will see revival WORLDWIDE!!! I will update you with their website, once they get it up and running.

Jim Brulte (Chairman of the California Republican Party) Jim has been trusted to oversee and guide the California Republican Party. Jim is a Christian. He needs prayers for wisdom and discernment. The CA Republican Party convention is

Oct 20-22 in Anaheim (cagop.org) The last convention was in SF in April 2016.

Jim allowed Craig and I to host a Prayer Chapel.  Please pray he will be open to allow us to do this again. Lord knows our State needs prayer!!!

Lip Service

Over the years, in downtown LA, I have met with, talked with and prayed with Transgenders. And I find out that…

Some say they always knew they are Transgender.
Some say they have been Transgender since birth.

Some show me their Transgender clothes, shoes and makeup.
Some point to their Transgender tattoo, necklace or ring.
Some actually have a Transgender app on their phone.

Some talk about the LGBTQ support group that they go to.
Some mention the LGBTQ organization they belong to.
Some talk about certain Transgenders they follow on social media.

Thinking how you look on the outside will convince others that you are.
Transgender.

I have no problem telling new people I meet, that I am a Christian.
Usually when I say that, they respond with “I am a Christian too.”
And I find out that…

Some say they always knew they are Christian.
Some say they have been Christian since birth.

Some show me their Christian tattoos.
Some point to the cross around their neck.
Some actually have a Bible app on their phone.

Some talk about the Church that they go to.
Some mention the Christian organization they belong to.
Some talk about certain Christians they follow on social media.

Thinking how you look on the outside will convince others that you are.
TransChristian.

Forgive Us Father that We the Church can say and look like We are Christians.
But sometimes Our words are just lip service. And those who know how We actually live…See it.

Forgive Us Father when We the Church lash out in anger and hate to those who are struggling with Identity. After all, We did at one time too. (Ephesians 4:17-19)

Forgive Us Father that We the Church in the United States can be TransChristians. Disobedient. Ineffective & Unproductive. If We smother and quench the Holy Spirit in Us, We lose out on His gifts, revival power and miracles through Us.
(1 Thessalonians 5:19)

Maybe We Forgot that We the Church have the Holy Spirit, and therefore We HAVE the Mind of Christ. (1 Corinthians 2:14-16)

Maybe We Forgot that We have His ATTITUDE, and that is NEW, no longer corrupted by deceitful desires  (Ephesians 4:22,23)

Maybe We Forgot that We were NEWLY created to be like Him, truly righteous and HOLY! (Ephesians 4:24)

We just need to PUT ON this NEW mind. Every minute. Every hour. Every day.

You have ABUNDANT life. Abundant life is not pathetic life. Not compromised life. Not disaster life. Not drama life. Not robbed life. Not stolen identity life. Not destroyed life.  (John 10:10)

His ways are Holy. Always. He is the God who performs Miracles and displays His Power through YOU!!! (Psalm 77:14,15)

Be ready to be the miracle in someone’s life today. He will give You divine appointments. You just need to ask. He is able to do more than You can imagine or think through YOU!!!

PRAY FOR:
Continued worship, prayer and Bible study at the White House and the Capitol.
What is happening there now, in these areas is unparalleled. Righteousness and Justice are allowed to operate in and through the born again, Spirit filled believers that President Trump has appointed. This is the real reason the enemy of Our Almighty God is livid, and wants Trump removed. The war is real. Pray for divine protection on those elected officials and appointees.

PRAY FOR:
Revival to continue here in CA. We are seeing it in action, and it is happening throughout the state. Mainstream media will not discuss it. Pray for Pastors throughout our state that have received a fresh wind, fresh fire of the Holy Spirit to continue to preach Christ crucified and resurrected!!! Altar calls everywhere!!!

PRAY FOR:
Youth pastors. They are dealing with kids who have been bombarded with secular anti-God humanism at school, the culture and everywhere on social media. Pray these pastors reap a harvest of hard core, sold out Warriors for Jesus to infiltrate their schools, with the One and Only True Hope of Jesus.

Urgent Care

One of the major local hospitals has an Urgent Care facility near our home.
It’s situated smack dab in the middle of a busy strip mall. We actually drive by it daily. We ignore their large beacon-like signs and really don’t pay attention to it. Thank God we don’t need it!!!
Over the years we went there a few times, with “minor issues”, but nothing life threatening. It’s convenient to go there instead of the main hospital.
It’s a small but effective facility. There is only one ER doctor and several nurses on each shift. Each time, after we signed in on the waiting list, we were seen immediately, administered care and sent on our way.
Today I drove past and to my shock, the Urgent Care facility was gone. In its place was a new business. I thought, “where do the people go now?” and “what if it’s a real emergency?” I highly doubt this new business was trained and ready to handle broken, bleeding and hurting patients. So they did what they could.
It was obvious that the new business was bombarded with those same exact questions. They posted the new address and phone number to the Urgent Care right on their entrance door. For everyone to see.

Forgive Us Father for We the Church can display large beacon-like signs of Our loyalty to Jesus on Our things and even on Our bodies, hoping to get the attention of the world. Yet sometimes We ignore and really don’t pay attention to You.

Forgive Us Father for We the Church really are the major local “hospital”. We typically don’t administer His Urgent Care of mercy and grace to people in Our local neighborhoods, government, schools and businesses.
We usually just help the people in Our Church.

Forgive Us Father for We the Church can think that by simply posting an address and phone number to Our local Church, it will solve the Urgent Needs of the local people. But sometimes We don’t recognize that We have THE solution too. And typically we are afraid to speak to others about it. (Romans 15:17-19)

Maybe We forgot that the Holy Spirit likes to be smack dab in the middle of our busy day. And smack dab in the middle of our very thoughts, words and actions.
(Romans 8:6)

Maybe we forgot that without the saving grace of Jesus, people are condemned to eternal death. It’s not a minor issue. It’s a life-threatening emergency.
And it requires Urgency on Our part. (Romans 6:23)

Maybe We forgot that the Holy Spirit posted His Salvation Message on Our hearts so that We can proclaim it to others (Acts 1:8)

You may be small. But You with Him You are effective.
Our Almighty God is the ER Doctor who works 24/7.
He doesn’t clock out, and He doesn’t take breaks.
But to effectively operate He needs You on His staff.
He expects You to administer His care to a broken, bleeding and hurting world.
He already has a waiting list of patients for You to see.
Because He knows You are the perfect person to reach them.
And You get to see people from all walks of life, immediately… (Those are called Divine Appointments.)
You get to care for them, the Holy Spirit will tell You exactly what to say and do.
You are His Urgent Care facility in Your Home.
In Your Neighborhood.
In Your City.
In Your State.
In Your Nation.
And throughout Your World.
For His Glory. For everyone to see!!!

PRAY FOR:
Christians in this country to wake up and recognize that all the evil We continue to see unfold in the nation is called Sin. Sin is allowed to operate by powers and principalities. Sins wages are always death.  We have the One And Only answer to Sin. Pray Christians who have been silent about the good news of Jesus Christ will repent. We need revival here.

PRAY FOR:
Christians to be Ministers of Reconciliation. To boldly and with confidence go to the local, state and federal government officials to pray for them and their staff.
They need hope.
(Romans 15:13)

PRAY FOR:
Christians to be on the local college campuses. To seek out the professors. (They all have office hours) and to pray for them. Pray for their classes. Pray for their students. Pray for their salvation. Pray for that school. Walk through the campus and pray over that whole place!!! Pray that The Truth will be present and change the atmosphere.

Grilled

Since the weather has been warming up, dining outside on our deck is on our radar. Naturally what comes to mind is BarBQ. Not too long ago, I prepared everything in advance. I cleaned and cut the zucchini, corn and green beans. The entrée was fresh salmon. I seasoned everything, wrapped it in separate foil packets and sealed them shut. I was excited at the outcome. I knew from past experience how long everything should take to cook. During the process, I lift the heavy lid of the BarBQ and gently turn over the foil packets, so everything is done at the same time. I occasionally peek inside the packet to check on the progress. I check and determine if everything needs just a little more time. Normally, I stay right there. But someone urgently called me from inside the house and I ended up getting distracted.

By the time I came back out to check it, I thought for sure it would be done.

The salmon still looked kinda raw, the same way I left it. Something must be wrong.

After careful examination, I noticed the BarBQ flames were gone.

I checked the propane tank. And sure enough it was empty. How could I have not seen that? How was I going to save this? Everyone was starving! I was beyond frustrated and felt incredibly inept. As a desperate resort, but perfect solution, I took everything out of the foil and stuck it in the oven under the broiler on high. It turned out completely fine. Mouthwatering, in fact. It was better than I expected.

Our guests kept saying “How did this happen again?”

They wanted more.

 

Forgive Us Father when We the Church prepare and plan in advance Our lives but separate out Our pain, loss and fear and wrap them carefully into the foil of Our doubt, so no one sees.

 

Forgive Us Father that We the Church are Your entrée, ready to be served to a starving world, but We tend to sit outside of being used on the decks of evangelism.

 

Forgive Us Father if We the Church get distracted, We typically don’t hear the urgent calls of others. We can be just beyond frustrated with them and feel incredibly inept.

 

Maybe We forgot that You are the lifter of the heavy lids of suffering in Our lives. Sometimes You like to gently turn Us over, so that everything in Our sanctification is done at the same time.

 

Maybe We forgot that with Love, You peek inside the foil packets of Our sealed shut hearts, and check in on Our progress, every second of every day… not occasionally.

 

Maybe We forgot that You are the Master Griller. You notice when something is wrong with Us. When We suffer, You are right there with Us. You check and determine if We need just a little more time to completely heal. (Isaiah 43:2-3)

 

Perhaps You feel Your life has been kinda raw and placed under a broiler.

The heat hurts. The pain is real. Tell Him about it.

He sees Your life.

He saves You. (Psalm 6:2-4)

He has the perfect solution.

Let Him stoke those flames of Your Holy Spirit propane tank. (Psalm 18:28)

You will be completely fine. Better than expected. Excited at the outcome.

You will tell others.

Your testimony will be a mouthwatering demonstration of His resurrection power.

They will say “how did this happen again?’

And They will want more.

 

PRAY FOR:

Egypt. Their leaders declared that the churches are closed this Easter Sunday, due to church bombing Palm Sunday. Pray for the Christians there, that revival will take place, in spite of them being displaced. And His healing will be present and powerful.

PRAY FOR:

Afghanistan. 36 ISIS militants were bombed this week. Pray for the Holy Spirit to find men, women and children that are trapped in the deception of Islam, and draw them to the One and Only Savior, Jesus.

PRAY FOR:

Our military and their leaders. Land, sea and air troops are on the move, and the world is watching more than ever.  Pray for their protection and wisdom from God in everything they do.
